Why I, as a Photographer use Stock Photos

You may not know but I’m a photographer from the beginning. 
Meaning, I know how to take professional photos.

So why am I using a stock photo service when I can do it myself?

It’s not as easy as you might think

As I said, I’m also a photographer and know how to take these kinds of pictures myself. 
But do you know how much time it takes to do so?

To plan, organize, get props, create scenes, take photos, curate them and at last, edit them takes a lot of time!
(Just to give you a clue what I’m talking about, when I have a maternity photo session, I shoot for 1 h, but in total, with planning and editing, I end up with around 6 h for each shoot) 

Conclusion:
It. Takes. Time.

A lot of time that I can spend on other things in my business that will give me more in return.

 

Why I love HauteStock!

There are Stock Photo companies and there are HauteStock. Since the first time I got in contact with their pictures (over 4 years ago), I fell in love. 

I use HauteStock photos everywhere. Both in my design templates, but also for my own website and social media. Almost every picture you see me use is from HauteStock.

And I don’t know if you noticed, but it’s a big variation of scenes and colors, but they all beautifully match each other. 

Maybe this is nothing you see as the most beneficial at first. But let me explain…

Which is great.

… The downside with the free photos is that you can’t be consistent with them. You can’t find several pictures that belong to each other. They will all have different colors and feelings which makes it difficult to create consistency. 

But with HauteStock, you can more or less just pick any pictures you like and they will all look good together.

And that you can have that consistent style everywhere you are. The free photos are for that platform only, with photos from HauteStock you are free to use them everywhere!
Meaning that you are consistent everywhere you show up!

HauteStock is by far my favorite because they have this soft and feminine vibe and all collections can more or less be used together. 

This is an important aspect today, when images are more important than ever, as they help us to stand out in all the media noise.

So, the conclusion to why I, as a photographer use stock photos from HauteStock.

What I want to say with this text is that even if I, as a photographer decide to pay for a service that I can do by myself, also see that there is a bigger value in this than just pretty pictures. 

 

It saves me time and I have access to a full library with pictures that works for every situation and always resonate with my brand and clients!
