As a photographer, it’s important to update your website now and then. And I don’t mean design-wise. I mean content-wise.Much of our work can change only through a year, which must be communicated on your website to grow your business sustainably. A promotional banner or a notification bar is placed on top of your website to alert your site visitors about something you want to highlight for the moment. A notification bar is relatively easy to add on your Showit website, but there are a few things to pay attention to and decide about first. Why […]
This is not a blog post that will tell you if you have a well-designed website that is built with a strategy to convert, your bookings will increase, and allow you to raise your prices. No, this is a blog post about marketing psychology. And about getting confidence as a photographer to be able to […]
It took me a long time to understand this thing with “Call to Action”, or CTA, as it’s described short. For me, it felt so salesy and pushy to use them both in my Instagram posts and on my website. But since I understood how to use it as a part of a strategy […]
As photographers, we are in the visual business. That put pressure on our websites, to also be visually pleasing places. We have a higher need for our websites to deliver a certain feeling, vibe, emotion, and standard. As well as we need strong tools in order to show our galleries.Let me introduce you to Showit. […]
It’s a special moment where I finally can show you the result of a Showit Template Customization that is made for the sweetest girl found on the American west coast. This website has been finalized during periods of Covid and other health problems, but that didn’t stop this website to get a result beyond amazing. […]
When I was a newbie photographer, I didn’t charge much. One reason was that I had high demands on myself and didn’t feel I could charge much as I didn’t know enough about photography. Plus, I was listening to the WORST advice ever;“Do not let anyone else pay for your education” My pricing story for […]
Maybe you have seen it, maybe not. The little box that shows when adding links to your website asks “open in a new window”.You have probably ignored it because you are a bit unsure how to use it. But after reading this post, you will never hesitate again. My first website On the first website […]
This page might be the most underrated page on your site as it’s your contact page and just your contact form… But it’s far more than that! The contact page is the “final” page on your website. The page where you send people, with the intention to convert them to clients. This post describes how you as […]
Bad guilt is coming from an assumption. An assumption of an ideal situation. If you don’t live that ideal, you get feelings of guilt. This is very common for mothers. But when you narrow it down, there is no reason to have bad guilt at all. It’s actually more important than ever to stand up and be […]

I will have to check them out, thanks for the recommendation. These photos are so dreamy!
I’m so in love with all their photos. The hardest part is always to pick the one to use! 😉
Thank you for your honest review about HauteStock. Never used them but will def check then out. Great data that photos are read 200% faster! I use Canva and agree about consistency.
Your welcome! Great picture makes such a difference! And I’m so happy for the kind of service I found in HauteStock!
I think most people have no idea how hard good photography really is, but with the advancement with the smart phones and such things have really gotten saturated in the market with filters so now real photos are even harder to find.
That is so true. I think it’s the same for all professions, if you don’t have any insight you have no clue about the hards work behind the scenes. And I think we all should have that in mind, cause we should then respect and value other services so much more!
This is just so spot on. I love photography but the editing…. Uph. And I shoot street and travel photography, no arranging nor arrangements necessary. But totally feel you. The time needed to do so at a top notch level is incredible! Thanks for this post and ideas how to get around this:(
Yes, you never realize how much hard work it is behind good photos until you try to make them yourself. That is why I love HauteStock so much. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but totally with it as good photos gives you so much in return!
I love stock photos and will have to check them out. Photography is hard so this is resourceful.
Photography is really hard. I know what I’m talking about! But HauteStock makes is a breeze! 🙂
Absolutely fabulous photos. I’m always in need of fresh images and I will surely check Haute Stock to see if I can find something for future blog posts.
I’m sure you do! A tip is to check out their blog, as you have a better overview of there collections from there.
Very true! Taking photos do require much time and effort, even when you’re a photographer yourself, running a blog. Using stock photos are so handy. Great photos, by the way.
Sometimes the time is not enough for everything you want to do. And I love when you find great sources that can make your business so much better even if you don’t do it yourself.
I will definitely be checking them out. I always feel my own photos are in adequate, but feel guilty for using stick photos too. And then find I gravitate to the same ones over and over.
Please do, they have a lot of photos related to yoga and wellness. I’m more than sure you will find something that you love!
Such a great read!
Thank you!
I can image how much work it means to prepare your own pictures, even if you are a photographer. As I am not, I use stock picture. But, as you say, it is not easy for them to be consistent. Will definitely check HauteStock out. Thanks for the recommendation.
The consistency is what I love the most with HauteStock! It doesn’t matter what collection you pick a image from, it will always be a consistent and beautiful result.
I love these photos! I’ll definitely have to check them out. And you’re so right about how much time it takes to take photos
I’m in love as well! It makes everything I do much easier and prettier! 🙂
I appreciate you perspective and honesty about stock photos! I love the photos you’re using!
Thank you! I love them myself I can’t even thing of using Stock Photos from another place!
I love this post! Photography is just a hobby for me, but I always wondered how people had the time to style and edit every shoot for their blog. I couldn’t imagine how I was going to spend a few hours shooting and editing twice a week with three kids and a day job. Now I’m realizing they don’t, and that’s okay! Yay stock photos!
This was my thought too. I’m a photographer too and never understood where they found their time. Stock Photo is the best!
The photos are awesome!!! I have never checked HauteStock before but will surely do in future.
I fell in love with the photos first time I saw them. And now they are a big part in everything that I do!
