I completely agree about only blogging in your niche, I struggled in the beginning with this and I wanted to cover so many things for around the home, I found that paring it down really helped to focus me and my readers.
I can relate to that feeling. You want to serve as many as possible, but the interesting thing is that you probable will start to grow when you narrow down.
